I have no idea why you feel the need to increase my premium by such an outrageous amount, as I have not had any tickets or accidents since I became a customer of 21st Century Insurance last July, and the premium increase is far more than the 5% across the board rate increase that you notified me of in the policy renewal paperwork. Since there is no reasonable excuse for a 38% increase in my insurance premium, I want an explanation as to why you feel that you have the right to raise my premium so dramatically. Since we live in a free market and I am not obligated to remain a customer of a company which is trying to rip me off, I reserve the right to find a cheaper insurance premium with another insurance company. If you will not lower my insurance premium to a more reasonable amount, don’t expect me to renew my policy when it expires on January 1st. Before I became a customer of your company, I was warned by a friend (and former customer of 21st Century Insurance) that your company is unethical and you would dramatically raise my premiums after the first six months. As it turns out, my friend was correct, and I was a fool for believing that yours was an honest company. 21st Century Insurance is nothing more than a bait and switch scam! Pitbull owners are always in shock when there nice dog turns and mauls someone and there is never an explanation.. Just because you don’t want to believe the facts doesn’t make denial an option. Do you understand and comprehend the cases like those of Darla Napora who raised her pitbull from a puppy and treated it well only to have it maul her to death are very common? Pitbulls that are not raised to be mean suddenly kill their owners. In fact, pitbulls are the only dog breed that attacks adults as often as kids, and the Its the owner not the breed is the lie that is allowing these maulings to keep happening. Mortality, Maiming and Mauling by Vicious Dogs was published in April 2011 in Annals of Surgery. It found that you have a more than 2500 times highter chance of dying if attacked by a pitbull instead of our most popular breed: Labrador Retriever. They also found that a person loses a body part to a pitbull attack in the U.S. every 5 days. If it were the owners then the most popular dogs owned that are also owned by irresponsible and mean owners would be the killers. Beagles are stuck in pens and forgotten but when they get loose they don't kill people. The same can be said for Goldens, Labs and our other most popular breeds. Some of them will get good owners and some bad but these dogs don't do what pitbulls do. A normal dog bites and release and most of the time bites out of fear and doesn't even draw blood. A pitbull doesn't bite, it mauls, holds on and doesn't let go which is why "breaking sticks" are suggested for pitbull owners... and when a pitbull attacks. even the owners cannot stop them from killing there own kids. I can understand why, and it's the irresponsible stupid dog owners. I work with dogs. All BREEDS of dogs. Even those PIT BULLS. Trust me when I say it's the owners. Dogs don't just attack for no reason. They were working as a PACK and running on instinct. I'm sure they sensed fear and rightfully so. These dogs got vicious by their owners and were not properly socialized with people. The owners didn't provide a secure fence where there were seven areas where the dogs could have escaped. The owners should serve jail time. To blame the BREED of the dog, you should know these dogs are not breed this way, they were raised to be this way. So stop hating the breed, Hate the irresponsible bad owners. They raised them to be weapons and they should be tried with murder. Well I’m sorry you feel this way about these dogs. Joined the ARMY late last year. I just arrived at my permanent assignment. 21st Century found out one of my cars is in a garage in CA and decided to cancel my insurance on that car. I called and tried to work things out so I could keep coverage but they refused to do anything for me. Stay away from 21st Century because they do NOT care about Active duty Soldiers. Been with 21st Century for about 10 years. Joined the ARMY late last year. If they want them in neighborhoods, they MUST be insured for some amt of $100,000+ in case your animal attacks someone. I can't put a healthy animal to sleep, it breaks my heart to put any animal to sleep, but there has to be some rules. Either keep them in the country, or put an insurance policy on them or require them to wear shock collars, if the roam outside your gate they get electric shock til they go back.
